In 2026, Join Your State’s Professional Organization and Attend a Conference
We recently published a new permanent page on our website, State-Level Professional Organizations, which catalogs each state level septic/decentralized professional advocacy organization which we track for our Event Calendar and Resource Library. Our list helps clarify which states have active professional organizations, whether they are NOWRA affiliate organizations, and each organization’s contact information.
We encourage you to bookmark and refer to this page to use as a reference should you or someone you know move between states, seek to add a license in a new state, or simply need to reach out to industry professionals in another state. Furthermore, while we have listed every state organization of which we are aware, we are constantly on the lookout for new organizations to add to this list and to our event & resource tracking database. If we are missing any organizations that you are a part of or which you are aware — or, if we used any out-of-date information — please let us know!
One of the perks of being involved with your state’s organization is the opportunity to attend conferences specific to the septic/decentralized industry in your own state. We always encourage attending NOWRA’s annual conference for the national industry, but many state conferences offer the same perks with the luxury of not needing to travel as far: educational sessions for licensure and recertification credit, technological and business exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
If you’re interested in attending your state’s next conference, now is the time to register and start making a travel plan for many states and events — we have 21 state conferences currently listed in our Event Calendar through April of 2026! See the list below for these 21 conferences, and consider whether you can make it to yours.
